Glitter Ice Cream... Blue Giraffes... Hot pink squirrels?! "Girl are you on drugs?!" Nah, this is just the week 4 recap!
I spent a good chunk of this week in bed sick, sleeping for 14 hours straight most days and watching ghost and wild bird documentaries. I might be a 60 year old stuck in a 31 year old body. Speaking of which, it was also my birthday this week! My boyfriend and I went to this crazy, creepy vintage shop in Minneapolis that I will post about later this week. Seriously think of all the haunted dolls in the world in one store. This is that store.
Anyway, on to the recap!
January 21st Prompt - Ivy
I was a florist for 7 years but I'm unable to keep most plants alive... sigh. But these will be immortal! Mwahaha! Ahem...
January 22nd Prompt - Ice Cream Cone
This was seriously my favorite one so far of this ENTIRE challenge. This is a real ice cream cone, drumstick brand to be exact, and I just put paint on top of it to mimic melting ice cream. Add some glitter, because why not more glitter in my life and on my apartment floor. Looks so good. Toxic though, Britney Spears was probably singing about this.
January 23rd Prompt - Birthday Cake (aka my birthday!)
I'm not really a cake fan... more a pie person. But this is unfortunately another free trip to the hospital type of food. Don't eat paint kids! No matter how delicious it looks.
January 24th Prompt - Giraffe
Giraffes are my favorite animal and they're kinda goofy looking. Have you ever seen two giraffes fight? Look it up, it's wild stuff man.
January 25th Prompt - Chocolate Bar
Why do I keep painting things that I can't eat? I also started to restrict my sugar intake and I have all this candy in my house. So I need to paint it right!?
January 25th Prompt - Squirrel
There is a squirrel that visits my deck everyday and I affectionately call him Muffinz. There are other squirrels that come to and they're named after various breakfast foods. 'Tall Glass of Orange Juice' and 'Croissant' don't get along.
January 27th Prompt - Creepy Object
I love creepy things and possibly possessed objects. That's why I chose to go to the creepy baby doll store on my birthday. I won this tentacle thingy at Dave and Busters a few years ago and it actually served a purpose! Usually all the prizes I win at game places like that disappear into the vortex of the back of my closet.
Well friends, that brings this week to a close. With this challenge I hope to inspire other artists to paint every day! Fill this world with color! Every day is a new opportunity to make even one brush stroke, so go out and make your mark!
I will post the prompts for next week tomorrow in case anyone would like to participate.
Create as much as you can!
